G. de Protección Civil, la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, el Instituto Nacional de Oncología, el Hospital Clínico San Carlos y las centrales nucleares José Cabrera, Van- dellós I, que aportaron un total de 52 profesores, muchos de ellos socios de la SEPR. Todas estas tareas suponían un importante papel de Enresa en la protección radiológi- ca ambiental. La creación y renovación de estas entidades impulsó en paralelo la investigación, la formación, la comer- cialización y transporte de materiales radiactivos, el desarrollo normativo y regulador, la colaboración institucio- nal e internacional, etc., necesarios para el uso seguro de las fuentes de radiación y el aprovechamiento de la energía nuclear al mismo nivel que lo hacían los países de nuestro entorno sociopolítico. La Sociedad inició una estrecha colaboración con Enusa, Enresa, Unesa, Tecnatom, Foro Atómico Espa- ñol y un sin número de ingenierías, suministradores de fuentes, equipos y servicios, etc., basada en la confianza mutua. La colaboración se materializó en la organización de todo tipo de eventos por parte de la Sociedad, con el apoyo institucional y financiero de las entidades y empresas. Pero, sobre todo se materializó en que la Socie- dad se convirtió en el principal foro para que sus expertos compartieran y actualizaran sus conocimientos y experiencias de la forma más abierta y profesional. Especial mención merece la colabo- ración de la Sociedad con la JEN y el Ciemat, en cuyo seno se creó y creció durante sus primeros años. Ambas instituciones acogieron y dieron su apoyo institucional y económico a innumerables iniciativas de la Socie- dad que se plasmaron en reuniones, jornadas, cursos, seminarios, actos y asambleas, colaboración que conti- núa en la actualidad con el máximo interés por ambas partes.
